Easy Steps to Treat Dry Skin

Winters is the time when your skin looses its natural oils and become dry. This is mainly because of the change in temperature, dry air and exposure to wind which deplete your skin of moisture. It leaves itchy, sensitive spots on your face. Monitor your eating habits and your skin care regimen to find out what you should do to restore the natural oils of your skin.

Here are some useful tips on how to protect your skin in winters:

Don’t use harsh soaps on wash your face as these remove essential natural oils from your skin. You can use a good cleanser or mild face wash to remove dirt and pollutants from your face. Don’t forget to tone your skin after cleansing. It will remove the leftover cleanser from your face. Once you are done with cleansing, apply a good moisturizer.

The main reason of dry skin in winters is the lack of moisture. In winters, skin tends to loose its natural oils which make your skin dry. The golden rule is to moisturize your skin. After cleansing your skin you must apply a good moisturizer. It is advisable to moisturize your skin in the morning as well as in the night before going to bed. You will have a soft, smooth face within a week.

You can also apply olive oil, almond oil or coconut oil as moisturizer. Vaseline is also good for dry skin.

Make sure you exfoliate your dry skin once in a week, especially in winters. It will remove any dry skin from your face gently.



Aloe vera gel is ideal for any kind of skin type. Apply aloe vera gel on your face as it will remove dead skin cells and dryness.

Make a paste with one avocado and one tablespoon of milk cream and apply it on your face and neck. Let it dry for 15 minutes and wash it with lukewarm water. This will moisturize your skin and add glow to your face.

Here are some food tips for healthy skin:

• Raw vegetables like carrot, tomato, cucumber are excellent for your skin texture.
• Also include green leafy vegetables like spinach, cabbage, gourd, French beans, green beans, peas, capsicum, lemon etc in your daily diet.
• At least have two amlas in a day.


• Drink one glass of lemon water. You can also add one tablespoon of lemon in it.
• Include fresh citrus fruits and fresh leafy vegetables in your diet.
• Use face wash and body wash for cleaning face and body.
• Make sure you apply moisturizer after bathing (whole body and face).
• Stay away from junk and fried food.

Perfect Skin Diet for You
