Foundation is one of the most beloved makeup products that a majority of women use to look flawless and beautiful. However, color selection plays an important role to get beautiful, spotless face. Broadly, foundation can be found in three types - liquid foundation, cream foundation and powder foundation.

Liquid foundation is ideal for women who want to achieve a natural makeup look. Dab a little foundation and blend it well into your skin. If you have got oily skin, you should choose oil-based foundation, while women with dry skin should choose oil-based foundations. Be sure the foundation you choose goes well with the natural tone of your skin.

Different types of foundation for different skin tones

This blog gives you an idea about the different types of foundation. There are three types of foundation, they are:

The liquid foundation is considered to give a very natural texture. Hence, liquid foundation can be used every day. It can be applied with ease as it does make the skin cakey. It contains both oil and water based ingredients. The oil based one is for people with dry skin and the water based one is best suited for oily skin. You should always go for a foundation with a shade lighter than your actual skin tone. The undertones are pink, orange and yellow base formulas. Most of the foundations come in pink-based, orange-based and yellow-based formulas.

Cream based foundations are generally very sticky. They either come in tubes or compacts. They cover imperfection completely and makeup artists swear by these. They are easy to apply as they glide on smoothly.

Powder foundations are in powdered form and perfect if you are always in a hurry. These are perfect for oily skin as they give dry texture. You can apply these using a kabuki brush.
