Different types of foundation for different skin tones

This blog gives you an idea about the different types of foundation. There are three types of foundation, they are:

The liquid foundation is considered to give a very natural texture. Hence, liquid foundation can be used every day. It can be applied with ease as it does make the skin cakey. It contains both oil and water based ingredients. The oil based one is for people with dry skin and the water based one is best suited for oily skin. You should always go for a foundation with a shade lighter than your actual skin tone. The undertones are pink, orange and yellow base formulas. Most of the foundations come in pink-based, orange-based and yellow-based formulas.

Cream based foundations are generally very sticky. They either come in tubes or compacts. They cover imperfection completely and makeup artists swear by these. They are easy to apply as they glide on smoothly.

Powder foundations are in powdered form and perfect if you are always in a hurry. These are perfect for oily skin as they give dry texture. You can apply these using a kabuki brush.

Lipstick is one of the most commonly and widely used makeup product. Without lipstick face makeup cannot be considered complete. There are so many colors and shades available in market but still we get confused for which lipstick shade we should opt for. There are many things that need to be considered while choosing the shade of the lipstick. You need to know the skin complexion and accordingly should select the lipstick.
One of the easiest way to select the correct lipstick for lips is that choose a lipstick that is one or two shade darker than your actual natural lip color. You can also take advice from the makeup artist as he/she can guide you well for choosing the right lipstick. Also concern your friends as they can give you genuine advice of what actually looks best on you.
It is quite possible, that you want to buy the lipstick but the tester is not available. As such time avoid taking the lipstick as it might appear different after the application from what it was actually. So, always demand for a tester and then only go for buying the product.

How to Apply Nail Polish

Following are the essential that you need to follow while applying nail polish

  • Firstly, to start with your nail polish application, make sure to wipe away all traces of old nail polish with a good nail polish remover.
  • Later, apply a base coat before applying the nail polish on the nails.
  • Roll your bottle of nail polish in between your hands to mix the polish thoroughly. Do not shake the bottle, as this will create air bubbles that will affect the quality of the polish. Then slowly remove the nail polish from the bottle and gently start applying nail polish from the cuticles to the tip of your nail. In this whole procedure if the nail paint slightly smudges outside your nail, then with a help of cotton wipe it out. While applying nail polish make sure that you start with thumb finger and then proceed till little finger. For proper and clean application of nail polish avoid shaking the nail polish brush.

Makeup for all seasons

Every season calls for different beauty regime. A unique style, technique and type of makeup need to be comprehended from various climatic and weather conditions. Winter makeup may look very gusty wherelse makeup in monsoon can be difficult to manage, while an inappropriate makeup for summers may leave a person looking quite pale and colorless.

As per the season changes you need to update your foundation. Because our skin tone changes slightly from month to month, using the same shade of foundation is not going to do your makeup justice. Shade that a too light for a dark complexion will bring ashen effect on your skin. Darker foundation on pale skin can look completely uneven. However, for those who suffer from acne prone complexions, you can turn to a lighter foundation to conceal redness or breakouts. When it comes to eye makeup, you can always go for warm color trend eye shadow colors that are light and fresh.

This vogue goes well with all seasons. Brown mascara is great for finishing off a warm complexion as opposed to overly dramatic black mascara. But make sure in monsoon your cosmetics are water proof or otherwise it will smudge on your face leaving a blemish appearance.
